Due to demands on the nurse appointments it has been decided to no longer undertake travel clinics in Practice.
Should you need to have a travel assessment you can attend one of the travel clinics below:
The Travel Clinic, Hills Road
CityDoc Clinic, Mill Road
Below are useful links to assist you:-
It is important to contact the Travel Clinic at least 6 weeks before you travel. Please note some vaccines need to be given at least 2 weeks before travel in order for them to work.
There are a small number of vaccines that are given on the NHS and the Practice will continue to provide these once you have had your full assessment at the travel clinic. Those vaccines are Diptheria; tetanus, Polio, Hep A, Typhoid and Cholera. This will be a 10 minute appointment with the nurse to receive the NHS vaccinations and you must bring your travel assessment form(s) with you.
If you are travelling to Europe a very useful booklet has been published with advice and guidance to help you get the most out of your holiday. To visit please click:- http://ec.europa.eu/publications/booklets/eu_glance/86/en.pdf (this is a large document and may take a minute or two to view)
